Trello mobile app redesign - Why I love microinteractions

KEYWORDS: UX DESIGN, PROTOTYPING, UI DESIGN, MICROINTERACTIONS, DESIGN SYSTEMS

Trello is one of my favorite apps for work management. With this project that I present here, my goal was to take many specific microinteractions, find valuable alternatives for them, and see how the User Experience could change even when only small details were redesigned.
All the prototypes that you see in the slides were created exclusively by me with these tools: Figma, Axure, Protopie, After Effects, Adobe Premiere (the latter was used to create the Animated GIFs).
Also, because I believe that as a designer I should strive to create designs that developers can implement, I focused a lot on the actual feasibility (leveraging my own front-end knowledge) while also trying my best to keep my designs within the limit of the Material Design framework - again, for the sake of feasibility.

For best viewing experience, please, enable full screen on the slide deck!

Enjoy! (at the beginning, I start explaining and framing the app and its main features before diving deep into the microinteractions themselves)

Ultimately,

this redesign exercise was super helpful in improving my design mind and prototyping skills. I can now evaluate different design patterns, evaluate the pros and cons of each one of them, and can also propose solutions to stakeholders with quick prototypes in which I can show my design intent.
